Early spring usually signals a calling to all road cyclists that it's time to get off the indoor trainer - or the couch - and start taking advantage of the next eight months of great riding weather. One of the first rides of the season is The Assault on the Carolinas. This ride is in it's 11th year and we expect over 600 riders this year. We appreciate everyone's support and without you this ride would not be a success. This event is a major fundraiser for The Pisgah Forest Rotary Club and all proceeds benefit local charities such as the Boys and Girls Club, Sharing House, Dare Program, and many others.

It is a great event, and we have ride options for all levels of cyclists, so whether you're a seasoned rider or a beginner, there's going to be something there that can challenge you.

The Pisgah Forest Rotary Club hosts the event on Saturday April 10, 2010. All rides will start and finish from Brevard High School located at 747 Country Club Road, Brevard NC 28712. Registration is held from 7-9 a.m. with all rides beginning at 9:00 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to come out and support the riders as they go through downtown around 9:05 on Broad Street.

We will use April 11th or April 17th as a rain date or weather date in case of extreme conditions.
